Welcome

A seamless step from home to school

Early Starters was set up to give children a safe and nurturing place to learn, so parents can go about their day knowing their child is happy and well cared for.

Our school runs on sound educational principles that support both academic and social development through group work, play and one-to-one learning. With a library of learning resources and a wide range of play equipment, every child can explore at their own pace.

“Seize the opportunity” is more than our motto. It is how we help every child build a solid foundation.

Our classes

A flower for every age

Each class is named after a flower and planned around one age group, so every child gets the right care and challenge. Our Aunties bring warmth and experience to every day.

Beyond the classroom

Extra lessons that spark the whole child

On top of everyday learning, children enjoy music, language and art classes, and special days that open their eyes to the world.

French lessons

Fun French sessions with a local activity centre, using poems, songs and rhymes.

Friday aerobics

Fridays start with an energetic workout to music led by an aerobics instructor.

Music, movement and drama

Weekly music with an organist, plus Ghanaian cultural dance and drama.

Art and craft

Children design, make, draw and proudly show their own work.

Career Day

Little doctors, pilots and engineers learn about real-life possibilities.

Water park and splash days

Supervised water play to cool down and have fun on hot Accra days.

Real play, little screen time

Hands in the soil, not on a screen

Young children learn best by doing. At Early Starters, days are full of building, gardening, singing, stories and helping out, and screen time is kept to a minimum. We use technology thoughtfully as one teaching tool, never as a babysitter.

Our team

A home away from home.

Our teachers and carers, the Aunties, are experienced, proactive and full of ideas. We recruit carefully and train our Aunties regularly, so your child is always in kind and capable hands.
