A family school, since 1993

Early Starters was founded by educationists Michael and Victoria Asiedu. Today their children run the school, with the same care and the same motto: Carpe Diem.

Our story

Three decades of early starts

For more than 30 years, families in Accra have trusted Early Starters with their children's first steps in learning. We are proud to be a family-run school with a warm, welcoming feel, carrying on our parents' legacy.

Our vision is to awaken in every preschooler the joy and love of learning.

Our promise

Well-rounded, kind and curious learners

We aim to develop well-rounded, socially responsible, lifelong learners in every child, through hands-on learning and play.

We are more than a daycare. Trained Aunties lead planned, purposeful play and learning with stimulating materials and modern teaching practice. Children leave us with the confidence and skills to keep succeeding, and with good character built on sound moral values.

Grandma Lynda

Never too late to learn.

After retiring as CEO of Hollard Insurance, Lynda went back to the classroom herself, first earning a diploma with distinction, then a first-class Bachelor of Education in Early Grade in April 2026. Her own love of learning is the example she sets for every child.

Proactive, resourceful and full of love.

Our Aunties know every child by name and by personality. Their enthusiasm is the heart of Early Starters, and it is why so many families describe us as a home away from home.
